International Albinism Awareness Day

June 18 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

IAAD 1080 x 1080 px 1

Join us on Wednesday,🗓️ June 18th, 2025, at 📍USIU as Najimudu Empowerment Initiative (NEI) and partners come together to mark Albinism Awareness Day.

Aligned with our core themes of #Equitable #Climate Action and #Disability #Inclusion, we are championing climate resilience for and with persons with disabilities.
This year’s edition will spotlight the heightened vulnerability of persons with albinism to climate change, under the theme🔊🔊:
“Demanding Our Rights: Protect Our Skin, Preserve Our Lives.”

For persons with albinism, sunscreen is not a luxury,it is a right and a necessity. NEI will lead conversations 💡💡on the intersection of climate justice and albinism, advocating for stronger protections, inclusive policies, and sustainable solutions.

We invite you to join the movement to champion climate resilience for persons with albinism and to embrace eco-friendly practices that foster a healthier, more inclusive 🌍planet for all.
